À propos de l’auteure-réalisatrice

Diplômée d’un Master II en Création Visuelle, Nina Bouchaud-Cheval débute sa carrière comme Directrice de Création, avant de faire ses premières armes comme assistante réalisatrice sur des clips et des publicités. Elle se tourne ensuite vers la fiction en autodidacte, et réalise son premier moyen-métrage en 2022, Les Éveillées. Lauréat Talents en Court au FIFIB et au Poitiers Film Festival, le film reçoit une dizaine de prix et circule dans plus de quarante festivals internationaux. Son prochain projet, Bleus Pétrole (produit par Picseyes), lauréat Talents Connexion, a été pitché au Festival de Clermont-Ferrand et a reçu le Premier Prix Suzanne Lipinska, au Moulin d’Andé-CECI. Elle coécrit actuellement deux longs-métrages, dont un franco-belge, Grand Prix RTBF au BIFFF. Son travail explore la complexité des identités à travers des récits sociaux et queer, porté par un désir constant de rendre visibles les invisibles. Pour elle, la fiction est une déclaration, intime et politique.

Nina Bouchaud-Cheval began her career as a creative director before turning to filmmaking. She first gained experience as an assistant director on music videos and commercials, then moved on to direct her own projects as a self-taught filmmaker. In 2022, she wrote and directed Enlightened, her first medium-length film. The film, winner of Talents CNC (FIFIB, Poitiers Film Festival), won several awards and was screened in over forty international festivals. Her next project, Blue Petrole, was pitched at the Clermont-Ferrand Festival and won First Prize at the Moulin d’Andé-Céci Screenwriting Contest. Nina is currently co-writing two feature films, including a Franco-Belgian project that won the Grand Prix RTBF at the BIFFF. Her work explores the complexity of identity through social and queer narratives, driven by a desire to make the invisible visible. For her, fiction is both an intimate and political manifesto.
